Whats the lowest factory unlocked athlon? that still o/cs decent?

Some are and some are not, its pot luck! even up to 1400, I got lucky, my 1200 was unlocked and OCed pretty good!

What type of screws and what else do i need to mount my 120mm fan?

You'll have to drill 4 holes after marking them where you want the fan to go, I use 10/24 machine screws, washers, and nuts, get them at hardware store. I also use tin snips to cut the case opening the size of the fan blade, to allow full air flow.

Connecting the bridges on an Athlon to hard lock the multiplier

Just get a window defogger repair kit from auto parts store $7.00, or use a high carbon #2 or 3 pencil, a magnafier to see the L1 bridges and connect them all, set any multiplier you want in bios or jumpers.

1+ Ghz Athlons, should i get 200Mhz or 266Mhz ver.?

Get the 1.2/266 First off they are factory unlocked, so just drop in and start OCing, I got mine to 1400, 10x140 fsb 1.8v too easy! I used the A7V133, excellent board & no jumper to set for 100/133 all in bios, the Iwill KK266 is also a great board, but has the jumper to set and with a...

Does anybody like these collectibles? L@@K Pics!

I've seen people fill the 10 gallon visible glass cylinder with water & fish, but never beer! That would be cool to dispense beer thru a gas nozzle, have the pump sittin behind the bar & just run back & forth filling glasses with the nozzle!

Celeron 800/100FSB or PentiumIII 700E?

Get the cC0 700E, very nice chip on a CUSL2, mine does 1000 w/ only 1.75v setting, actually MBM says 1.78 but it runs pretty cool, 34*c - 38*c

where can i buy pre-tested OCed CPUs?

Bonkers is an awesome trader, but I think he's been TEMP banned here, go to Hardware Central to see his OCed CPU's. I got a 700E from him and it doed 1000 @1.75v & all are Guaranteed to do what he says, Fast Shipping too!

Fitting a Copper shim on a Intel Flip-chip, IS THIS A GOOD OR BAD THING TO DO???

I have used them for Celeron & P-III FC-PGA, they work great! for slightly better cooling but much better stability between the core & the sink.

I need a cooling sofware for my cpu!

RAIN 2.0 works great with a Celeron or Pentium III but I heard they do nothing for a Duron or T-Bird, so maybe try Waterfall.

What Mobo/CPU/cooler combo are you using?

1) CUSL2 P-III 700E @ 1000 w/ FDP-38, the ole FDP's are BIG but do fit most ASUS mobos and cool great! w/ 38cfm fan. 2) MSI pro2-A Duron 600 @ 950 w/ WBK-38, nice newer fan thats BIG and barely fits buts cools great! both use Artic Silver.

Poll: overclocking celeron 566e?

I have OCed many 566's super easy! most past 850, BUT... if its a cB0 find an older one, earlier than week 30, week 10 - 18 are real good from Maylasia, the newest cB0's SUCK! don't OC worth a darn. cC0's ROCK!

I fried a Celeron 533A trying to O/C it today

Very hard to belive, I put 1.9v to one in an effort to reach 920 mhz & it didn't hurt it at all. But I totally ruined a 566 @ 850 by grinding the heatsink, must of had a grain of sand or a sliver of alum under it and it sliced thru 4 wire traces, never booted again. Now its my $80.00 keychain!
