NEW AIO inbound from Corsair and Swiftech

The Swiftech looks to be the winning ticket here. I just hope it doesn't suffer from any weird noises like many of the first gen water aio's did. I will be curious to see how the benchmarks play out.

Return of the tape drives @ 35TB

The companies that I have worked at still use off site tape backups with a pickup service. This will be extremely helpful for large enterprises. They certainly serve a purpose.

AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks are in!

I am glad to see the driver optimization continue. They still have some crossfire and crossfire profile bugs to work out, but glad to see the performance coming along.

Rate my cheap rig (<$600)

I have to use Windows XP on a fairly regular basis at work, and I would never go back to it on my personal machines. I think you need to give Windows 7 a bit more time before you jump ship. Nice build though.

Anyone use PS3 to stream movies?

You can set up media sharing remotely by just port forwarding the proper ports for Plex. In my experience, I had issues with any HD files streaming due to my limited upload speed on Time Warner Cable. I have 50 down / 5 up, and testing from a 30 down / 5 up connection it would stutter like...

HDMI signal loss

As LoveMachine has said, you start to get weird handshake issues with long HDMI cables. I never was able to get a 50ft HDMI cable to fully work, and ended up going with HDMI over Cat6 instead. In my experience with digital cable in WMC, it would work intermittently. I would be watching TV just...

Samsung Note 2, possibly best business phone?

As a Samsung Galaxy S3 owner, the Note 2 is certainly a tempting size upgrade. Although I do think it is silly large, it would likely be helpful for my typical smartphone usage. The two apps side by side looks useless, but the S pen and huge battery certainly seem like nice perks.

Mce Internet TV R.I.P. 9/20/12

I always found it to be a rather poor implementation anyways. This is just one thing (in a long list of things) that Microsoft did poorly in WMC.

Trade in 6990 for 7970

In my experience, one card is almost always a smoother experience overall than crossfire. I would opt for the 7970. I went from crossfired 6970's to a 670, and things are a lot smoother.

Micro ATX vs ITX?
