Question though - what's the difference between Bronze / Gold certified etc. On these boards it doesn't seem like a lot of importance is placed on ratings like that. Is it just the manufacturer trying to squeeze out a few more dollars?

Ah you're awesome. I was about to drop like $50 more! Ill post the final build soon. I think I'm spending a few more dollars than I was originally intending, but as long as this machine lasts for 3 - 4 years I'm totally fine with it.

Thanks for the input mfenn. How would this card be: XFX HD-697A-CNFC Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity Is that overkill or if I can afford it, should I grab it with the i5 2500k / Mobo / RAM combo you suggested?
