Upgrading from 2500XP to 3200XP

Really? Well I'm not sure I've oc'ed it right. I increased the FSB to 200 and it does dectect it in Windows and the BIOS start up as a 3200XP. But do I need to do something with the vcore volts or something. I can't remember any of this stuff.

Yeah, a little pointless. Just been looking at pics of x800pro's and they look like they are single slot and probably easy going on power. Just wish the prices had dropped more.

Is the 6600GT a duel slot cooler? I thought it might be reasonably slim with it being a mid-range card.

I didn't know that actually. Never played orginal CS. So why has it taken Valve so long to add two 'new' skins if they are just remakes? Rubbish.

Upgrading from 2500XP to 3200XP

I'm currently running a 2500XP (1.8g) overclocked to 3200XP (2.2g). Does overclocking genuienly improve the performace to that of a 3200? I seem to see only about 1-3fps difference in CS:S. Would buying a 3200XP see a massive performance gain? I'm running the above with 1gb RAM and a...

CS:Source Patch - New Player Models

By realism I mean the way the models appear. The default models covered the faces with the ski-masks and helmets, which looks cool. By adding a model (the guerilla) with a face texture, I think they've made the game look visually weaker. Its just a featureless texture. I dunno if that made...

Thanks, thats helped. I'm running in a SFF, although heat isn't an issue, size is. Don't suppose you know whether the X800XTs, or indeed any of the other cards mentioned in this thread , are a lot bigger (physically) than a 9800pro? Yeah, I think I'm gonna wait until later in the year to...

9800pro (agp) vs. X600xt (pci-e)?

Was searching for a relavent thread, and this seemed an appropriate place to ask... Is it worth upgrading from a 9800pro, given AGP is dead now? Or should I wait and build a new system? I'm running a 3200XP, 1GB RAM and a 9800pro (obviously). I can run most things (HL2, CS:S etc) in 1280x1024...

Getting rid of Quicktime

How do I do it? I've got a Quicktime icon in my system tray, but I can't find where the actualy application is on my HDD, in order to remove it. It's not in add/remove programs. I seem to remember it being in a Windows sub-directory for some reason... any ideas? Thanks.

BF2 - since latest patch

Might be the ATI drivers. I have a 9800pro, I updated to the lastest Catalysts last night and ended up losting 5-10fps on Counter Strike Source. I don't have BF2, so I couldn't comment. Thinking about going to Omega drviers, as people always seem to mention them.
