Windows XP home Dynamic Disk?

Does anyone know if there are ANY hacks to make Windows XP Home SP2 support dynamic disks? I know Tom's hardware has a hack to allow Software RAID5 on XP Pro, but any for XP Home?

Fedora Core 5 - First Impressions

Test PCI laitency/busmastering?

After Install of XP-Pro over XP-Home, Windows doesn't recognize old programs!

OK, It looks like you can go from Home to PRO, but it can only be done with Retail XP PRO and you need the proper service packs

sharing files between XP Pro OS's

Do you have Simple File Sharing turned on? If not then its possible that the file/folder permissions don't match the share permission. I would start by telling you to go turn on the guest account as this illeviates a lot of headaches when doing file sharing and making sure you add guest user...

you can't upgrade XP home to XP PRO, no matter what version of XP(s) you have in hand. What he did was basically ran the PRO install CD and it didn't see there was a valid PRO installation to attempt to repair so it prompted him to delete the old windows directory and did a fresh install...

when microsoft releases the 64bit windows......

I doubt that 64 bit will make a big difference in gaming. Most of the floating point calculations are done in the GPU anymore (64 bit registers mainly speed up large floating point calculations) and the AI and physics are handled in CPU. As games get more complex and require over 2 gigs of ram...

What you should do with XP upgrade is if you are switching motherboard chipset brands (ie SIS->Intel) first try changing the IDE controller to the Default IDE Controller from the driver designed for the chipset manufacturer. Then you can swap motherboards out and let XP redect the new hardware...
