2400+/2600+ work on Shuttle Ak31?

I have a Shuttle AK31 kt266a motherboard, and was wondering if there were any bios updates that offered support for the new 2400+/2600+ cpus.. Anyone got one of the 2400+ or 2200+'s running on a shuttle ak31? Frost

its not too much noisier than a panaflo L1a, I really dont know what taun is talking about 25cfm/22db sounds about right. Frost

Aluminum Antec/Chieftec case w/o pwr supply?

Great Case Fan - $0.99

I just got a pack of 10 of these NMB fans, from the first one I've tested.. 25 CFM 22db sounds about right. the 3 pin connector isnt the standard one most fans come with and is kinda short.. but it works. No 7volt mods are needed if 22 db is ok with you. Frost

the nmb fans I got from directron are the quiet ones, no 7 volt mod required.. Its got a wierd 3 pin connector, but it works.. the wire is also a little short, you may want to get an extention for some of them. 25cfm 22db sounds about right.. Frost

Need decently quiet heatsink/fan for 2x1600+MP (no overclocking)...

my 1600+ is being cooled by a svc gc-68 just fine, great heatsink/fan combo. Frost

Somethings louD...in my case!!!

try turning off fans one by one to see which fans are the noisiest.. im guessing its the volc 7+ Frost

SVC GC68

it does come with a packet of thermal grease, im pretty sure. Got mine from svc.. the svc runs wonderfully on my 1600+ Frost

Tualatin's with no CPU fan ?!?

i think you have to use a fan on the heatsink with tualatins, unless you underclock to 66 fsb... If you're going for quiet, use a big heatsink and a 20db fan or lower. Even via c3 800's requires a fan, or a really big passive cooler. Frost

cyrix mII 366 - what socket is this?

one of my friends has a old emachines with a cyrix mII 366 in it, the heatsink and fan combo is way too noisy.. is this a socket 370 chip? or socket7? anyone know if the svc gc68 will work with it? Frost

What HSF w/ Shuttle

the ax-7 is probably one of the best socket A heatsinks out there, I'm running at around 44-45C with the SVC with the stock fan that came with it (32cfm, 28db) I'm sure I'd get lower temps with the AX-7.. but the SVC costs 6 bucks, the ax-7 25... so heh its really up to you, if you want...
