Even most media rated at 24x can do 40. But only try that on brand name media. cheap stuff that u buy online many times is written at "32x" but is really 16 or 24 that they figure can b used at 40. If u buy brand, you can usually even use 24x at 40.
Depends which platform you are builing on. For athlon the A7A266-E is a good board. The A7A266 is the older version. The 266-E is the2 one to get. For socket 370, get one of the ASUS tualation compatible board that have support for both. BTW< TCCOMputers.com has boards, and I look there to see...

I got the latest bios, and it still didnt work. There are no DIP switchws or Jumpers on the mobo for the Multiplier. I cna only change the FSB. Any other ideas?
