I can definitely see some practical uses for the bt.tn, but at $100 a pop I'll wait to see if the price (and size) come down before I'll consider it. Keep us posted on your uses for the bt.tn and how it integrates with your HA scheme.
Third time must be a charm, because I just deleted the Wink app and rebooted my device then downloaded the Wink app from GooglePlay and it FINALLY opened without a forced crash! I was doing that all last night to no avail, but luckily its finally working again!
WTH Wink! Over 12 hours and I still don't have a functioning Wink app on my Android? What the hell did you guys forget this time to screw up this update?
Glad I never trusted Wink with my locks and garage opener, or else I'd be screwed!
My app is still DOA. Makes one wonder about Wink's QA policy. First an expired security certificate expires causing nothing but grief for their users two weeks ago, and now another update debacle for their Android users?
Come on Wink. You haven't recovered from your last dog and Pony show and...
At least it's only $10.
If you had to explain why you wasted $50 on an egg carton, then that surely would result in you AND your fancy electronic egg carton spending some time in the dog house!
I agree. The Captain kicked everybody else off the bridge and took the helm of the foundering ship. Lord knows it couldn't have been easy for him, but he stayed there and took it.
Fix worked and Wink hub is back online.
Thanks to those in this community who shared the info and helped everyone who needed it get the fix implemented for their hub. THIS is what the community is all about.
Also, props to Wink for thinking the problem through and getting a fix out that...
This fix, if it works as it should would go a Loooooong way in regaining my trust! Not completely, but a hell of a lot more than I have at the moment!
Thanks for the update!
Anything Wink does to reduce the inconvenience their mistake caused for their affected users can only be a plus at this point.
As far as staying with Wink after this debacle is resolved and in their rear view mirror, they are going to have a huge mountain to climb in terms of regaining user...
Not your fault. We were only doing something we've had to do a hundred times before when the hub went off line for no reason at all. By the time Wink acknowledged a problem and said not to power cycle the hub, it was way too late for more than a few of us. Serious communication failure.
