question on setting up a new router

I have a siemens 2604 router networked to 2 computers through a dsl line. I can't get my battlecom program working through the special app. feature or through dmz. I want to try a linksys router. My concern is, can I just unhook the siemens and set up the linksys?? I'm just wondering if there...

Need help changing extensions

So like this either: rename demo.dm_59 demo.dm_60 or rename *.dm_59 *.dm_60 (this will change all my demos?????) sorry to make you go into so much detail, dos was a long time ago for me :)

Need help changing extensions

I am running Win 98SE. I am downloading game demos of RTCW with a .dm_59 extension. I need to change that to a .dm_60. I tried renaming when I downloaded but it keeps the .dm_59. How can I do this. Thanks

Need advice on DSL

My AT&T cable modem has been giving me fits during MP games(Wolfenstein). My pings are fine early morning but when I go to play after work my pings are unplayable. Im looking at speakeasy DSL and earthlink DSL. Speakeasy offers 1.5 down 384 up for $89.99 and 608 down 128 up for $54.99...

What are some good "Pick up and go" games?

I play return to castle Woflenstein MP and in between that I like to play: Serious Sam 1 or 2 Medal of Honor Allied Assault Soldier of Fortune 2 - doulbe helix ( Actually I'm getting this soon)

Crashing - too hot?? need advise

computerfix/mechBgon - I will try some arctic silver in place of the pad that was on the stock fan. Boy, a soft scraper to remove the pad huh..any suggestions on a soft scraper to use? My video card is a Geforce 3 ti-500 with a stock fan. I'll rplace that fan as a last resort. Eloric - the...

Crashing - too hot?? need advise

Thanks for the tips....The thermal pad was fine and I did check the fan installation and I put it on correctly...I'll try a better hs fan. Does anyone know about those BIOS settings from my first post? I'm a little gunshy when it comes to messing with them. thanks

Crashing - too hot?? need advise

Amd 1800+/(retail fan that came with processor) Epox 8kha+ geforce 3 ti-500 windows 98SE Antec sx635 case with 1 intake front and 1 discharge rear 350 watt power supply(antec) I've been crashing while playing games. I opened my case and put my 12" fan blowing in there and it has helped...

I'm the 4th level or so, save the prisoners, blow up the ion cannon. I just blew up the 2 ion cannons and apparently you go back into the room with the landwalker things(from empire strikes back) and go around the catwalk to the door which should be open but it's not.....any suggestions

Well I just beat RTCW

Well, first, I would reccomend playing RTCW Multiplayer. I finished RTCW and decided I would check out the MP game and have been hooked for 4 months now. There are currently 50+ maps and hundreds of servers available. I play on Timelord and FND so track me down and I'll show you the ropes...
