S95 or other comparable cameras?

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been around much. I have absolutely no idea if the camera w/ Franiec grip will fit in the PSC-900 case. I don't use a case, so I didn't even know the PSC-900 existed until you mentioned it. The grip does not extend out further than the retracted barrel, so...

Thinking of going all primes - thoughts?

Agree with Kriori that you need to upgrade the photographer, not the equipment. Once you know more, then you'll have a better handle on what equipment you need/want. I know as my head has filled with information, the way I shoot, what I shoot and the equipment that I choose has changed...

S95 or other comparable cameras?

I've got the S90. Great little cam. It's the portable backup to my Nikon D700 and it chugs along pretty well. One suggestion for *anyone* owning the S90/S95: get the Richard Franiec grip. It's an absolute must-have, IMO. The rear control wheel also has way too much play on the S90. Canon...

Everything he said, except substitute F-mount glass for "L glass" ;) That being said, since you're going to be shooting legos, make sure that whatever you get has a decent macro function! If you try something out in the store and the macro mode sucks, well... don't buy it. You'll end up...

Best pocket shooter?

Just picked up an IXY 810IS this past weekend to replace my IXY 700 which has been thrashed to death. These lil Canons are bulletproof. Absolutely recommend 'em. When it comes to P&S, I'm sold on Canon. However, if we start talkin' BIG toys, then I'd have to say I'm with The Dark Side there ;)...
