Installing Vista 64 bit over Win XP MCE

Is there any way to run the Ultimate upgrade of Vista 64 without erasing the info on the HD? The Vista Ultimate 32 bit upgrade worked fine and kept all my data files and programs intact. When I decided to jump to the 64 bit Vista that was included in the upgrade, the 64 bit install essentially...

In reply to cpmee from 18 DEC 07: I bought 2 sticks of DDR2 - 800 Corsair TWIN2x2048-6400C4 G from Newegg. I'm running 4-4-4-12 at "high" voltage with FSB:DRAM at 4:5. DRAM FREQ is 388.3 I can't find any vcore adjustments for the CPU voltage. Are there any? Still at 310 stable.

Any higher than 310 = no boot, just a black screen after post. I will try some DDR2 RAM.

Why do you guys think that I can run my E6600 at 310 FSB w/o any probs. I am running "stock" everything and am having no probs w/ AGP 8x, DDR 333 and FSB @ 310 manual. Am I having probs that I don't see? No crashes, although sometimes I have lock-up w/ my Logitech legacy wireless PS2 mouse...

I'm @ 305 FSB on stock air and running orthos and OCCT without problems. Super Pi won't run, even at normal (266) FSB. I am running Vista 64bit, happily.

Again, you guys must realize that this is a very low-priced MB that supports legacy hardware - AGP, DDR1, parallel port printers etc. - from a purposefully low end arm of ASUS. I'm surprised that they have as many BIOS and driver updates as they do. I am not looking for anything great from this...
