Advice for new apartment owner?

I'm going to buy a new co-op 1BR apartment in NY. I know next to nothing about redesigning a new bathroom/kitchen, preparations prior to moving in, decorating, furniture, etc. If anybody has any advice, know any short books I can read or websites that can help, then it I would greatly appreciate...

OdiN, How large is the stuff size of that bag? I'm looking ofr something under 4 lbs and a small stuff size.

I need advice on a decent sleeping bag. I don't want to spend more than $100 unless somebody thinks it's absolutely necessary. I don't know anything about camping but I would like something that is durable (can be used for outdoors and indoors). It has to be light and small yet large...

pidgeon proofing my window?

I was wondering if any one can suggest anything on getting rid of the pidgeons that land on my air conditioner. I live in an apartment building and can't put anything dangerous on top of my AC because it can fall down so no barbed wires

Downloading a video?

I need to download a video from NBC's site here for a project The video is titled "meet lindsey". Internet explorer doesn't allow me to do so when I try right clicking. Is there any software that allows me to grab the video. Thanks for any help

Best Forum software?

I'm planning to buy forum software. I've been using invision for about a year and I do like it, so I'm thinking of paying for the lifetime license. However, I know that vbulletin is the other choice. Any input?
