yes i want to know about this too.. my girlfriend swears you save electricity by leaving it on, so it comes on intermittently.. i guess it kinda makes sense but who the hell knows. my electric bill is always over $110/mo in the summer.
Where can i get a round mirror like this http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/things/2940.html for less than the outrageous $12 on that site? I know usually companies give this stuff away for free as promotional items. I can't find any to buy online help if you can. I hate my cube.
Well for example, the Cambridge DTT2200 digitals don't have an external decoder, yet boast true 5.1 sound.. and i'm thinking its because these speakers and card are made for each other. But if i get say the midilands with no decoder (regular 7100s) would they still work or would it screw up...
Well.. I mean I thought all of the SB Live! 5.1 series cards were able to do software decoding... hence they work with decoder-less speakers such as the POS Creative DTT's and such... but how about with other brands? I'm not quite sure how SB Live achieves the 5.1 / decoding. If u know please...
Title says it all.
Looking for best 5.1 system within my budget. Have heard good things about MidiLand, although ppl recommend the 7100PLUS, which is over $200.. what's the diff between the regular 7100 and 7100 plus. My card does software decoding (right?) so do i even need a hardware...

The only way to be sure is to open up your computer, or run Intel's processor frequency ID Tool for Windows which will tell you for sure without opening up your machine. This program is able to read the processor serial number and give positive identification. >>

1 GHz is probably a much better deal. >>
How does it suck?
and how do you figure its a better deal when it costs $2 more?
If anything, all steppings being equal they are basically the same but the 1.13 is initially rated to a higher clockspeed for those who will...

no performance increase whatsoever, they are there so you don't chip your core if you remove and reattach your heatsink frequently
good shims won't raise your cpu temp
and do NOT get copper as they are conductive and may short out your CPU.. there's some non conductive ones at Coolerguys and Cpufx
