A youtube reviewer saying at 7m40s that TLOU ran quite well on 3060 and he thought it was well optimized, only to see stutters on 3060Ti.

Question What kind of hardware would I need for 3 monitors?

If you're willing to go with monitors, AMD eyefinity works well with different resolutions, so you can use an ultrawide monitor in the middle.

Performance drop is one effect, but most games pull down the texture quality before they show stutters, if at all. Benchmarking sites that don't play for long, would never notice even the stutters because often the game loads fine for the VRAM available, but slowly consumes more over a period...

Since my last post, Cyberpunk was patched for frame generation and using it also requires more VRAM. 4070Ti can get to 4k60 with DLSS+FG, but starts running out of VRAM in the below video at 26m50s, 4090 can get 4k60 with native+FG but the VRAM requirements start nearing 16GB, or even higher...

The whole thing is a chicken and egg situation since the game creators reduce the VRAM usage if the mainstream cards don't have enough VRAM. Cyberpunk reduces texture quality at 1080p severely to keep it within 8GB. Far Cry 6 went ahead with way more VRAM usage, but even that was patched to...

Not playing it right now, have few hundred hours already. I had tried the physics mod and it seemed to work well without breaking stuff, but can't maintain the fps in the boston area. Current >60 fps is due to the config files used for the benchmark.

Are you at power limit or not? Someone at B3D said their 6800XT was consuming more power in other games than in this. While Ampere was doing the opposite.

In that modded video, you can see the fps dip below 40 at the 15min mark. I didn't play much with 3600, but only looked at a couple of places, diamond city improved massively over the 1600(I had posted its benchmarks in the previous thread), but wasn't still 60 in the marketplace, and Faneuil...
