    SuperPower

I'm looking for a source from which I can buy SuperPower cases. I know of AxionTech. If anyone here knows of another retailer, kindly point me in the right direction. http://superpower.com/

    6800GT Fit in Shuttle SFF?

Most (all?) of the 6800GTs I've seen are single slot. But most (not all) of the Ultra and Ultra Extreme cards I've seen, however, are so wide that they take up two slots.

    6800GT Fit in Shuttle SFF?

Does anyone have any experience trying to fit a 6800GT or similar size card into a Shuttle SFF such as the SN45, SN41, SK43, SB61, etc.? I was able to get a Voodoo5 into an SK41, but it was a tight fit getting the molex plugged in since the connector on the card ends up being almost at the...

BFG 6800 OC Owners - How Loud is Your Card?

Newegg has two different versions of the 6800GT, and the difference appears to be in the number of fans. There's one that sports two fans and blue LEDs, and one that appears to have just one fan and no LEDs. Which one did you get?

Problems with AOpen AK33 (Please Help! :) )

I haven't had a whole lot of experience with non-responsive systems, but situations in which there are no beeps that come to mind are those in which the CPU is dead.

Windows 2000 Pro vs Windows 98SE

I played around with a Win2K SP3 machine here last night. Installed MadOnion's 3DMark 2000 and Blizzard's Diablo II demo. Played with each, then checked the vertical refresh rate via the monitor's front panel buttons. In both cases, the refresh rate remained at 75Hz, which is what I'd set the...

Windows 2000 Pro vs Windows 98SE

Thanks for the link to the Tom's article. It was good to see that, generally speaking, Win2K is not a liability when it comes to speed vs Win98SE. However, I wasn't aware of the 60Hz problem. That could certainly put a damper on things. A couple of notes regarding the Tom's article: 1)...

Windows 2000 Pro vs Windows 98SE

I seem to recall seeing gaming benchmarks comparing Win98SE to Win2K Pro somewhere a few years back. Can someone point me to a URL?

    Bad DIMM? Or bad motherboard?

That was my first thought, also, that the DIMM was bad. However, I have been able to run it at 2-2-2 under Memtest on a Shuttle KM266 board and an AOpen KT266A board for over 12 hours each with no errors. This DIMM is only bad in the one AOpen KT400 board. And the AOpen KT400 board gives me...

    Bad DIMM? Or bad motherboard?

Timings are not by SPD. For the two Mushkin DIMMs, timings were set to 2-2-2 and 2T CMD as Mushkin advertises that the DIMMS support these settings. The 512MB DIMM passes; the 256MB DIMM in question doesn't although it does pass at 2.5-3-3. I've tried voltages from 2.5 to 2.65 for the 256MB...

    Bad DIMM? Or bad motherboard?

I'm having trouble putting a system together and want some advice from you techies out there. DIMM A (256MB) has problems on Motherboard 1, regardless of which slot it is located. Sometimes upon boot, the full 256MB is reported as being present; at other times, a lesser amount (like 115MB) is...

PC vs Mac, which one is better?

This discussion is pointless. The very title of this thread, "...which one is better?" already shows that the nature of the comparison will be entirely subjective. "Better" in this case cannot be objectively defined, so there is no way to objectively conclude that the one platform is...

Does 2D Video Quality still vary between video cards?

A Universal AGP 3.0 motherboard is also supposed to be backward compatible with old AGP 3.3V cards. But be careful--a motherboard with a universal slot won't necessarily support older cards. There seem to be at least a few SiS648 or KT400 boards with universal slots that support 1.5V or 0.8V...

    3.3V AGP

Asus' P4S8X also has a universal slot but doesn't support a 3.3V card. In fact, there is a warning light that comes on should a 3.3V card be inserted, and the board will refuse to boot. So far, what you're telling me doesn't jive with what I'm seeing/hearing elsewhere.
