That board uses the light version of raid controller so you can only hook up 2 devices but it can be use as a regular ide controller, doesn't have to be raid.

bevo, I guess you should read chainbolt's posts on other board and another guy. They been using 3x256 Unbuffered sticks on their GA-DXR so far I only seen one person with the trouble. You also want to read his 3 DDR Board shootout on www.overclockers.com.au maybe that will help ya. :)

My friend was telling me that mobo wont run in CAS 2.5/2 mode when you use 3 PC2100 256Mb sticks, says it works fine if 2 but not when using all 3 dimms. True?
