P4S533 Problems (cont)

All I can say is I've had great luck with the board -- however I NEVER pluged in more then the two power connectors -- I've bumpted my 1.6a to 2.5 very very easily.l Gary

Asus P4S533 bios works on P4S333

Watch out for the 1008 beta bios -- over in ASUSBOARDS.COM there is a thread that burning it on a P4S333 turns your bios chip into crap (e.g. the trick doesn't work anymore). gary

Anyone else tried Beta BIOS 1007.003 for P4S533?

Asus doesn't seem to give much details on what changed in each BIOS release -- I heard that 1007.002 was very unstable and I'm sure I saw that as well so I pulled down .003 over the weekend and flashed it -- I'm now very stable at 150FSB and my DVD ROM issue seems to have disappeared (would get...

P4S533 Onboard Lan Won't Work!

No problem with my lan -- does the lan power indicator light up when system is turned on? All cable modems are 10-T, not 100-T -- so if you are just connecting to a single cable modem you'll have no issue -- if you and a second computer you will be restricted on computer to computer...

P4S533 Problems (cont)

Same here, no problems, been running my P4S533 w/1.6a at 150 all weekend with Prime95 w/o an issue I never hooked up the third power plug, running with standard P4 plugs Also, the green led is the stand-by power (for suspend to ram, powerup by keypress, etc..) it says on when ever the PS is on...

OpenOffice 1.0 is out!

Ditto -- I went with the .dk servers. Install was quick and it seems snappy and smooth. This will be a great additon for my home machine as I don't want to pay for Office XP there and I'm not into the pirate thing :-) especially with the register/authenticate thigy g/

If you have XP, the go into computer management then logical disk manager -- you should see the drive there and be able to format it.
