Hardware Issue?

i did a western digital drive diagnostics and it said my drive was normal it passed all the tests. my power supply is a zalman 400w noiseless. when i scroll with the mouse wheel it makes a buzzing noise, you think its the psu causing all these problems?

the sata controller is on default settings, the settings that it worked with before the problem. i dont understand what FAT tables are though.....

i have winxp with sp2 and im seeing 78gb total which should be 148gb total. the ide drive is also partially what it should be. if the raid failed why is the ide drive doing that? could it be a problem with the motherboard....

When i formatted i didnt use quick format. I did full. Ill try what that site says tommorow, its basically using a 98 boot disk to format right?

I tried what you said, still no go. Plus the raptor is on SATA1 port so its automatically listed as number 1 boot priority.

Im not using an LCD and ive just turned it off and on, and doesnt work still....... Im starting to think either its a bios alteration that needs doing, or the hard drive needs to be RMA'd i doubt its the latter considering it installs XP but wont load to desktop? i dont know.. Edit: I tried...

Argh...removed the cuda, set bios to enhanced, turned off sata raid rom, installed XP. Same thing hangs on a black screen after reebot :(. What now...
