i'm trying to avoid c2d as much as possible do to exactly your reason, i'll probly get a 165 or 170 and save for ati's dx10, just been noticing some chugging in company of heroes

So i have about $600 for a upgrade, i have no idea what to get, i was first thinking get a x2 or dual core opty and save for R600, or get a 8800gtx or go c2d, or just save oh the choices...

Computer Randomly Freezes

My computer has been randomly freezing more than once a day now so i check even view and was surprised to find that the only red X's were next to 'Perflib' and 'PerNet' i searched google and couldn't really find anything, anyone know what's up with this??? Thx

My WD Caviar recently has been acting screwy causing random crashes and when ever i try to install windows i bsod's and it gets corrupted. I installed windows on my old seagate drive and it's running fine, now i was wondering if i could install my games on the WD and if they would run as fast as...

computer freezing for 30-40 seconds

Recently my computer has been freezing for 30-40 seconds to a minute. Theres a sound loop and it looks like a complete freeze, after a while it goes back to normal, h appends in games, browsing the web, listening to music, i have no idea what's causing it. Any thoughts? Thx

BF2 problem with ATI

thats exactly what i'm going to do, i'm hoping quake wars has alot more to offer,i tried the 2142 demo and i think it feels like a mod and not seperate game to spend 50$ on
