No signal to monitor

Do you have a CRT to plug in and try to boot up? My widescreen LCD did not like it when I had the resolution set wonky. This is probably not the issue, but you never know. Also, have you tried both DVI sockets on he GPU?

LCD Buyer's Guide

Costco now has two different 22" Widescreen LCD's for $350. I bought the Acer 22", which I am very happy about, but I noticed today that they have a Viewsonic 22" on their website for the same price. This is just a ehads up, I have no comparisons, no benchmarks, no further info than to say...

Gigabyte for Conroe!!!!!!!!!!!

Because we don't want to pay $250 for a motherboard. Gigabyte gets the job done in my opinion, it has for me anyway.

Bragging rights!

I just picked up one of the 24" Acer's 2 days ago. So far, love it. It's huge, it's fast, it has a little light bleeding on the top edge but I only notice that on a blak screen which I don't see much. Costco ftw!

Which GPU?

I am going to assume you have a PCI-e motherboard. I jsut bought a MSI 1900xt for $280 after rebate. It runs everything I ask of it, flawlessly, with no OC. Benchmarks I have seen say this the 1900xt is the sweetspot right now, the XTX, GTX, and 1950, etc are overpriced for the performance...

The EasyTune5 I download from the website doesn't work, but the EasyTune5 I install from the provided CD works for some reason. Don't know why. I don't use RAID so I can't help you there.

OK, that explains the "flakiness" of Easytune I was seeing. So do you just change it in the BIOS?

Concern over new E6600 OEM: Sticker Residue

It sounds more like there was heat tape on the HSF he is trying to get off so he can use Arctic Silver. The CPU I am sure is fine, but the retail version I am assuming comes with heat tape pre-aplied to the HSF. My CPU will be here on Saturday from ClubIT, retail version, I am curious if this...

LCD Buyer's Guide

I checked out the 22" Westinghouse at BestBuy today it looked pretty sweet....I could REALLY envision it on my computer desk looking rediculously large :) They had their usual "static" images cycling through so I couldn't measure performance at all. I have yet to be able to find any reviews...
