I had this problem once (without the svideo to composite converter) and found out that my svideo cable wasn't plugged all the way into the TV set. Once I secured the cable, the color came back. So double-check your connections and make sure that everything is plugged in securely.
<< A major change like that is likely to trigger off re-activation as well. >>
That reminds me of what happened to me this last weekend. I swapped out my motherboard and CPU and triggered XP's activation "feature". When I called to get my operating system reactivated I was told that their...
I apologize in advance if this has been answered in the thread already, but I just tried to use this code and got a response back that indicated it was invalid. So I'm assuming that this is a hot deal for those who previously ordered, but not for those who wish to order now?
I just bought the PS2 memory card from Best Buy for $35. Damn they're expensive; that's why I got an X-box for Christmas instead of a PS2. Also, it appears that the S-Video cables for my PS1 should work with the PS2. Does anyone know if that is correct?
I ordered mine yesterday, it shipped yesterday, and I should get it today. I got the PS2+GT3 bundle. I will post the condition of the system and game once I get my sweaty little palms on it :) I need to get an svideo adaptor and memory card now. Anyone know the best place to pick these up...
I went into the pre-owned section and sorted on price. That brought the most expensive items first. It's one of the more expensive pre-owned items :) They also have a bundle which includes GTA3 for about 30 bucks more.
This deal is still on for those who are interested. The deal I got was a little better than the initial deal because they have a PS2 bundle that includes a pre-owned copy of GT3 thrown in for free. So this is what I got: Pre-owned PS2 + GT3 $250 minus the %15 discount plus $9.99 s&h equals a...
<< I have read that there are lots of users who have problems with the inspiron 8100 and 512MB of crucial memory w/ 32 MB GeForce2Go card and Windows XP all together. I am running that exact combo however and have absolutely zero problems. >>
Yes, it has to do with the amount of power that...
hey gdana, what was the problem with your 8100? I'm about to order one, and would like to know of any problems
I have the most un-imaginative of user names :)
There was really nothing "wrong" with my 8100. I hated the screen, even though it had a gorgeous resolution. It was difficult to get...
I was unimpressed with my experience with Crucial when upgrading my 8100 (which I sent back because of the shoddy case construction). They sent me RAM that they knew would not work in my 8100. The RAM they sent me had 16 chips on it and was known and documented through the Dell forums to be...
I didn't have the problem you had with your laptop, but I didn't keep my I8100 long enough to find out. I took advantage of the 30 day return policy to return the laptop. This particular laptop (Dell Inspiron 8100) is highly regarded on this forum and when I was doing my research on purchasing...
Maybe that was my I8100 that I returned :). The 8100's are very fast laptops, but they are constructed very cheaply and the layout (with both the ethernet and modem on the right side where alot of people use a mouse) is horrible.
Be careful with this deal. I've had bad dealings with PC Liquidators and their customer service is horrible. But besides my own personal misgivings, do note that they will charge your card immediately and deliver the system (hopefully) some time in the future.
Thanks for all the great input.
<< I ordered it late Thursday night before the deadline on their promotion (free DVD and Fuji FinePix camera). >>
What kind of system are y'all getting? Are you getting the 4100? If so, I would love to hear about your experiences with it in regards to the...
I sent back my Inspiron 8100 laptop today after evaluating it for a couple of weeks. These machines are highly regarded on this forum and it was based on the positive feedback I saw here that I purchased the laptop. And it was a fairly fast machine with good quality components...except for the...
