*** Official ASUS P5W DH Thread ***

Can anybody post(pics would be really helpful) how to mount a fan on the NB and SB heatsinks. Sorry for the noobish question, but I always run my case vertically and can't come up with a way to mount a fan. Also, eyeballing it, it looks like it would be a tight squeeze even to install a 40MM fan...

OCCT failed but prime stable???

Sorry about my ignorance, but do they have Vdrop in AMD world like they do in the Intel world.

1.I have the Ninja and it's great. Dig this, with stock HSF my load temps were like 63C No OC just stock everything. With the Ninja installed my load temps during full load(ORTHOS running for like 7 hours), was never went above 48C.Granted my E6600 was a week 27 and might running a bit cooler...

Walgreens maybe??. I am trying to apply AS5 for both the NB and SB of my P5WDH as illustrated @XtremeSystems as I am seeing very erratic behaviour with my OC. I also have the Arctic clean TIM remover and the purifier. Can I use that instead of isopropyl. Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot, Phil for all your help. Having looked at the above thread that I mentioned @ XtremeSystems, since i had the chip from the same batch, I thought I would try the same setup .(Vcore 1.4875,VMch 1.6). I could run dual Super Pi 32M and 3Dmark06 but Orthos fails. It looks like Core 1 is...

Safe Voltage for Core 2 Processors

I have been running 350FSB(3.1 GHZ) , Vcore @ auto with my E6600. Orthos stable comming up on 3 hours now. But then I have the week 27 chip which are much better OCers . Check this out . 3.6GHZ(400FSB) with 1.4875 Vcore is stunning with the E6600.

Phil, maybe you could explan this. I don't understand this. Ok, now am running @300FSB(2.7GHZ) with 1.3V vcore. Now I am getting load temps 0f 48-50C in TAT whereas when I was running @280FSB(2.52GHZ) 1.3 vcore, I was getting load temps of 44-46C. Does this mean that FSB counts towards making...

Thanks for the info. I will try stress tesing with TAT also.I am currently running it without the case, maybe thats whay the temps are that low(38-39C in TAT with default everything is really good), or maybe I got lucky and got a good chip. I am trying to find out how far I can push my E6600...
