This is not for the fashion-conscious ... but if basic cheap work and casual clothes work for you, check your local KMart for clearance. I got 6 dress shirts, originally tagged $14.99, reduced to $4.00 and then all clearance garments half price = $2.00 each. Unlike most clearance sales, they...
Just a minority opinion here -- teflon/non-stick is GREAT in the right context.
I have nice stainless pots, but my big skillet is teflon and it is MIRACULOUS how easy it is to cook and clean compared to the others.
I always believed that teflon peeled, because my Mom's pans always peeled...
I have an old laptop (98SE) that I travel with. It is not networked with anything. Can I d/l the movie on my main system (cable) and install the software on my laptop (then watch the movie on the plane flight -- off a jump drive) ?
Or is this too much of a kludge ?
Emusic is NOT for folks who want current hits. BUT:
They have an *incredible* library of jazz classics -
They have an interesting libaray of older Celtic, folk, and world (most of Shanachie) -
They have some funky classical (historic pre-WW-II recordings of composers conducting their...
FYI ... I wanted the DVD burner (sku 575690) . As of 1:45am EST, most items do not come up with the "instant savings" deduction, but this is a $50 off coupon (specific to this item) that appears on the description, and that applied without a problem. If I waited until 6am, it would be $10 less...
two prospects to bear in mind:
Airline mileage cards mostly have annual fees, but Delta Amex frequently has a promotion for first year free -- and the last time I tried it they had a 10,000 mile bonus after first usage -- very handy if you're in Delta country !
With so many generous offers...
I have Sennheiser HDR-4 headphones I bought several years ago.
I love them !
They work just fine when I'm at the computer -- gets unpleasantly staticky when I go downstairs. I think they are the 900mHz.
My worry was interference with 900 mHz phone -- no problems that I can tell.
Hope this...
check the hot deals section on this forum -- folks there sometimes get their hands on sale flyers up to ten days BEFORE the sale begins.
There are real 'professional' deal hunters there, worth checking advice in that forum ...
good luck
Thanks for the post !
MC doesn't mail me flyers any more, and doesn't include in newspaper ... so they drift out of my consciousness. Curious, since I've bought several hundreds$$ of gear in the last couple of years ... a nice store in general, but low-profile.
A heads-up for those who maintain their own vehicles:
My Kmart (Devon PA) has several shelves of clearance-marked oil and air filters .. some are about 25% off, but a significant number are 90% off (80cts for an $8 filter).
You may want to check your local store -- I didn't check their...
My local Microcenter has 500-600 books arranged on tables in a side room ...
All are 99 cents -- and the flyer indicates this is a nationwide sale.
95% of them are for obsolete products, a few are general programming texts, some seem only marginally related to computers (Kodak photo guides...
It took 4 phone calls, but I found them in stock today (1/10) in Phila area (Paoli store ... and possibly Ardmore).
Both rebates printed directly on the receipt -- the manager was surprised to see a $59.99 item with $45 off, but it is clearly legit.
Someone complained about data...
Thanks for an informative post.
But now I'm worried about hundreds of disks (everything I burn) that have Sharpie permanent marker writing on them ... perhaps re-archiving some key files would be wise ...
