My count has been off for a few weeks... I thought maybe it was just one slow to be verified or something. Has this happened to anyone else?
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Yup... I just got on the machine in question and it was plowing through 3 second WUs... I imagine all those credits will be removed since they weren't valid to begin with.
Actually, if I read the write up correctly, they had to restore the entire database from a many hours old backup. That is going to result in work being returned for which there is no record of it being handed out, and as such, no credit being giving for the work.... among other things. I'm not...
I haven't looked specifically at other peoples' work... I'm pretty casual about this, not like I used to be! :P So I don't know if this is happening across the board or not. I'm not a hoarder & dumper... I just let the queues flush & fill as whatever rate.
I'm not sure how the database...
My two machines typically put out 25k-27k of primegrid results a day... pretty steadily unless one of them gets the 3-second errors. Today & yesterday are ummm kinda special....
I tried several things but eventually resorted to uninstalling and reinstalling the BOINC software. That seemed to do the trick... not sure why, because I was on the current release.
3 of 4 cores seem to be fine. The other one is spending 3 seconds on a WU and then ending & uploading it... over and over. I'm running v7.0.64 of the BOINC manager... just updated today. Win 8 on an i5-3330 with 8gb ram and nothing else of significance running. I've tried rebooting and...
So I have on Woodall WU that is 89% through... I switched to different types of tasks and now everything is running "high priority" and that Woodall task has been sitting for a couple of days now. Will the client recognize when the WU is getting close to its expiration date and let it run? Its...
Maybe a stupid question as I quite honestly haven't been keeping up with technology... Would changing my i5s to run as a single processor at this point rather than 4 processors help push one of two of my in process WUs through? Meaning, would it process one WU 4 times faster?
