Yes I have... I tried alternate PSU, different ram, replaced CPU, different graphics card. Took the battery out. Nothing worked. On a whim I put the original graphics card back in, original PSU and one of the original ram sticks in A1 slot. It booted! So then I started adding everything back...

duff pump - back to air and reduced my overclock a bit :) Next question - can I run 32gb? All the ram posts I've found are from 5 years ago. I know the manual says you can still have triple channel with 4 sticks of ram. this is what I'm poised to buy...

I just put am x5650 in a p6x58d as my p6td died. I followed burpos overclock more or less to the letter (set the bclk to 190, and dropped the voltage offset a bit). I'm using a corsair h100i, which I've given a good clean. I'm getting idle temps of 53 (core 10 is a hot ah heck). And prime95...

Thanks burpo, yes I used your screenshots to check my settings and tweak a few things. I've got a p6td deluxe v1. Its 5 years old, I can't believe I'm getting these speeds from a 5 year old rig! It also means I don't have the offset option. The multiplier is set to 22 in the bios, and c state...

thanks folks, yeah slowly getting my head around it. got it up to 4.29 ghz, but the multiplier keeps knocking it down when running prime. I suspect CPU temps, but I'll post on that thread jason mentiioned :)

eeek. I had a very bad experience this year with onboard raid. I've sworn off it until its either under linux, or I get a dedicated card with battery back up.
