Quick Q about Ram..

But my question is you have to have the equal FSB to run it at that MHz...? so your 400MHz you have to have the 200 MHz FSB correct?

clock speed and memory size.

Do the clock speed of a vid card.. (ATI's 9800 Pro now with the 256 bit interface) and the memory of the card have any connection? Details would be great.

Quick Q about Ram..

so if your using a board that has a max FSB of 133.. (setting the jumper on the board to that) you can't run that 400MHz (actual 200MHz) at its best performance? is this true or false..

Quick Q about Ram..

I didn't know where else to put this question but anyways... does ran only run at the speed that your FSB is set at.. if its at 100 MHz does the ram run at 100MHz.. if so.. how the hell do you run DDR400MHz ram? Thanks

I was just setting up a new comp using a pcwave board.. the M925ALMU. Now I bought 256 MB PC2100 DDR ram.. It works fine I have it in the DDR slots. But my question is about the JP1 Jumper.. the DRAM Voltage Jumper. It says 2.5V(DDR) is "Open Pins 1-2" does this mean to have the jumper connector...

ON-board audio

I got the AOpen AK77 Pro it has onboard sound.. and it sounds the exact same as any sound card that I have heard.. sound blaster... whatever all that good stuff.. Sounds just the same.

First Timer Building a New PC - Have Questions

I haven't really read throughly through the post but if its your first time building.. don't forget about airflow. I know alot of people that put together their first computer and totally forget about airflow and circulation. This is a VERY VERY important thing, especially when dealing with AMD...

VIA P4PB400-FL Mobo, what psu to use?

ok cool sounds good. Thanks. Now a quick question about the case... the case is the AOpen HX08 case which has dimensions of 420mm(D)x198mm(W)x590mm(H) my main board is ATX form factor.. dimensions of .. 30.5cm x 22.5cm will this case work? I see that the board will fit IN but I am worried...

VIA P4PB400-FL Mobo, what psu to use?

I am about to buy a VIA P4PB400-FL motherboard and I am wondering what watt Power Supply I should be using. The case I have decided to buy comes with either 400/350/300 watt power supplys. Which one should I get and how exactly can I figure out which one will supply enough power. Thanks

Small computer problem

right.. I am running an Athlon XP 1700+ on a ak77 pro a mobo. It has an Aopen power supply.. 300 W How could I tell if the fan was causing extra drain on the power supply?
