I wonder if anybody saw this bluetooth speaker in any shop already? Linky: ZiiSound D5
I am rather sceptical about using bluetooth for audio, but the fact it utilizes apt-X codec (so far only used for professional audio and broadcasting - you can check this website for details) might mean it...
VIA chipsets are not renown for quality. I would rather use that TB card are get a new one from Sound Blaster or Asus, both companies have some decent cards for less than 80 bucks.
Speaking of which, for Zii platform now, would Android be a better choice or the native OS that they supply is the way to go?

This headset is meant for "mobile" gamers. It looks great and supposedly sounds decent (hope at least as good as Aurvana Live). USB option bypasses shitty onboard sound. And it seems that you can detach the mic. I used Sennheiser PC150 in the past and they were ok but the ear cups were way too...
Anyone here used these products and can share if they are easy to set up and how's the audio quality? I think of buying Soundblaster Wireless for iTunes but I dont find any user reviews.
Only found handful reviews for Logitech wireless music system but most of these mention problems with iTunes...
I'll bump this thread as I am looking for a simple scanner at present and also came across LIDE100.
@mindless1 - thanks for great CIS versus CCD explanation.
I need the scanner to occasionally scan B&W documents, mainly, so I guess I am OK with CIS type.
One thing that worries me is the...
I read they exist and google returns a few hits - anyone has experience with them?
I only need to send and receive a fax once or twice per month so decided to get rid of that fax machine.
Anything to be aware of when shopping for this service? Any good recession-friendly(aka free) service...
CMSS-3D that is on X-Fi cards creates much better surround over headphones compared to Dolby Headphone. Unlike Dolby Headphone it uses something called "elevation filters" which create not just the surround sound from your left to your right but also from "below" to "above" you. I would even...
Xonar use the same C-Media processing chip as Razer AC-1 does. The one on Xonar D2X is rebranded to AV200 but it is the same chip, so if you are not that happy with the Razer I'd say you might have better luck with a card based on a different chip. X-Fi is one and it is a solid card. Unlike the...
ALC 889A is a HD audio codec so use this port. 889A codec is a decent one although onboard audio is always inferior to stand-alone sound cards. I have not seen a comparison between this and audigy, but there is measurable and audible difference between ALC 889A and X-Fi in this roundup at Inside...
Surround headphones are gimmicks (how many ears do you have).
Two decent quality and good value stereo headsets with removeable/folding mic that I know of are:
-Fatal1ty gaming headset ((creative))
-GameCom 377 (plantronics
