Modern video card that will support my finicky Sony KV-30XBR910?

Maybe get a modern gfx card that still has dvi and see if you can get it to autodetect a good res/timing? I have the xbr960 fed from an onkyo 707 avr which is fed by a amd 6450 in a an old dell and it works nicely. Windows is sending a 1920x1080 signal which the avr converts to 1080i i believe...

Connecting computer output to stereo speakers

sounds like you need a t-amp, check out this thread http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2173349, another thing you could do is buy a used AVR off of craigslist or maybe go to a thrift store, people are always throwing away old stereo equipment.

Hackers giveth, Linux returns to the PS3. With FULL access to the hardware

Yeah if we could get streaming support for all audio/video formats without having to transcode ps3ms style that would be awsome. Would be a pretty good frontend for pulling media from a fileserver.

HTPC: Streaming 1080p video from laptop to ps3 bandwidth requirements?

You should probably try and figure out why the aspect ratio gets messed up when you try and hook up your laptop directly to the tv. Is it a flatpanel? If so you should be able to get 1:1 pixel mapping with vga or hdmi. As far as sound you could use a 3.5 mm to rca adapter (...

PS3 Slim audio questions.

Bitstream means the ps3 won't decode the audio it will just pass whatever the content has (DD, DD 5.1, DTS, DTS MA etc) to the display device/reciever.

Fan Controller Suggestion

Hey i need a fan controller that will let me put my fans at a very low speed , i have a bunch of high speed late yoons and my vantec nexus only goes from 7v-12v and that leaves them too loud for my tastes. Anyone know of a cheap controller that can slow them down a bit?

Wow i just realized how unclear last post was, comp is workin fine, just won't boot at 400 fsb even with relaxed ram timings, and 2x multiplier, 1.4 Vcore, 2.1 mem, 6-6-6-15 tried 6-6-6-18 even 7-7-7-15 and 7-7-7-18, never get post at 400 fsb... always gives me a long beep which means graphics...

PLL voltage is at 1.6, vcore is at 1.425 shows up as 1.392 on cpuz, bios temps say 40 C core temp say 50 C, mch at 1.6, ich auto, mem at 2.1 V, running 333 GMCH latch and 2x MULTIPLIER with FSB at 333 mem at 666 cpu at 2333 mhz ... memory is corsair 8500C5D rated at 5-5-5-15 2.1V 1066 speed...
