Latest Intel RST driver and trim??

Thanks for all the replies!! I have the bios set to AHCI and installed the RST driver since I installed the drive with a fresh Win7. There is someplace (i forget) where you can change the driver in Win7 from the AHCI driver to allow windows to handle the trim. I've been reading for hours...

Hello all, it's been a while since I had a chance to get on this forum and I basically put my computer away for a year. Now that I'm back I wanted to make sure my SSD was working the best it could so I updated the firmware to 02M3 and I loaded the new SSD toolbox Ver. 2 and all seems well but...

AS SSD Benchmark

I'm aware they don't support trim in a raid array. I have one ssd for my OS. I would like to know the difference between the two. I suspect they are the same? Jim

Intel drivers now pass TRIM command to Windows

Just check the firmware to make sure its 02HD and its a G2 (second generation drive) http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18363 and the new Intel drivers and yer good to go. Also make sure you set the bios to AHCI and disable defrag in the OS. You'll like the speed.

The new drivers are supposed to be a little better for speed. Zargon Apparently the new drivers don't pass the Trim command in RAID. http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/sb/CS-031491.htm I'm using the MS AHCI drivers at the moment and not sure if I want to switch to the new RST...
