Actually there was a study showing it takes more energy and resources to produce paper bags than plastic bags. They started to sell reuseable bags here...
It would make more sense to add a tax to gas but of course that would not make sense to ppl already complaining of high price of gas or what you call it a high price its still cheaper than here in Canada. It's $5/gallon here and $1.68/gallon is tax... Or like OP said you pay more for the bus...

The motherboards on IBMs are worth more than the Dell's... Try looking at prices for the motherboard for the Dell and theIBM and it is much more expensive.
