A few minutes ago when I booted into windows my skin was gone, and nothing would work at all. I reset my CMOS jumpers on my motherboard and started up.
When I got into windows and clicked on an icon, nothing happened. When I stated up the task manager, it would do the "infinite window"...
I know not to cut corners, and I am not doing SLI, just a single 6800GT. One.
I don't plan on cutting corners but I also dont plan on spending that much. A coolermaster 450 or 480 should do fine I think
A bit expensive for my tastes at 200+ dollars, but thanks!
I will now go out and get a new power supply.
edit: those special 6pin cables look awesome though.
I have been having problems with a 6800GT.
Right now I have a Chaintech VNF4 and a True430 (ANTEC)
I have the extra power cables for the 6800GT plugged into molex connectors, yet I still don't get enough power.
The card stops performing welll and pops up a message telling me so, and...
I upped it to 1.55v in the bios but ntune and cpuz both say it is at 1.45 still
What happened?
When I reboot, the bios still tells me 1.55, but cpuz and ntune still stay 1.440-1.456
Ok, having some problems.
3500+ Winchester (90nm)
VNF4 Chaintech Nforce4

I downloaded the bios update for my motherboard (2.0), and installed it.
Disabled Cool n Quiet
Turned HT to 4x

Then I upped my fbs from 200 to 219.

Using nTune benchmarks, it lowers it from 357 to 301.
Now, I have checked...
Right now I have two drives in my dell. The first drive has the dell version of windows on it and so for my new machine, I will be using my secondary harddrive, which as of now has bout 150 gigs of TV shows on it. (250 gig drive)
Will it be possible to install windows on it without erasing or...
This kind of makes me want to switch my decision to a VNF4. I haven't bought a motherboard yet, and I was swaying between this, the MSI and the chaintech.
I am going to buy a 939 system with a 3500+ and 1 GB of memory.
I am going to be getting a 20 pin Antec Tru430.
**Not planning on overclocking.
Which is the better Motherboard? The MSI K8N Neo4 or the Chaintech VNF4 Ultra?
The Chaintech is cheaper, but has less goodies.
Opposite for...
