Seems like I'm pretty much good to go then, are the HD7970 brands pretty much interchangeable? mj79, come to Dubai, but stop by a microcenter on your way here ;)

Another Gaming PC Build

I've just realized I can comfortably reuse my old power supply with the new rig and edited my post to reflect that. Thanks for the help but now I'm within the budget I'm looking for ~$866. Any refinements you would make? Any particular issues with RAM compatibility and the MOBO?

Another Gaming PC Build

Hi all, I'm putting together a new PC and would like some input on parts/brands to use. I've ordered an occulus rift that will arrive in June and I figure I might as well have an up to date PC to go with it. CPU - i7 3770K I'm looking at this CPU instead of the i5 just for the hyperthreading...

Okay so I shouldn't bother with the 9800GX2 even though it'll just chill in a storage box if I don't? Maybe I'll give it to a friend. I'll look into the SSDs then. Thanks again guys :)

What a great program, thanks for the link. I suspended mainap.exe's operation, now once I figure out how to get it off the application list, I should be able to delete it. Its in the Windows folder by the way.
