Is my laptop FUBAR?

I'd back up. . .also, all Dells have a diagnostic disk that will check everything on that thing, I'd download the ISO and run that.

Strange laptop problem

Take the battery out and then plug it into the wall. Still nothing, then my bet is on a fried motherboard.

POST issue - Major problem

As always, when weird sh!t like this happens, I go down the line of components that are usually the culprit, which usually starts w/ the Power supply, ram, motherboard, sound card, video card etc. . .with the processor usually being the end of my list. In your case, I'd stab at the motherboard...

POST issue - Major problem

when you say "blank screen", is the monitor even coming on? Like, is it recognizing signal from your video card?

Dell Inspiron 600m - Keyboard Problem

What travisray said, but, most likely, it's a bad keyboard. Bad keyboards will do stuff like this all the time. . .keys wont do what they're suppose to do, pressing any key could do a multitude of things. Keyboards are pretty cheap and easy to replace, I'd suggest going that route even if it...

I wouldnt think motherboard or cpu. That sounds like either the hard drive, RAM. . .heck, who knows, I've seen PSU's do some crazy things. When stuff like this happens in my system, the last place I look is at the CPU and Mobo, then again, I've had a bad mobo before that did what you have...

for a full time job after college, how flexible is the start date at most companies?

I chose my start date on my first and second jobs out of college. . .although, the first one was pressuring to get me in there ASAP, while the other, I probably could of started anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks.

Weird word 2004 problem

Would someone just try to make a hyperlink like I had said above and test it for me? I know it works fine on PC's, just not on any of the Mac's I've tried it on. Thanks in advance.
