As a jury you're not legally required to follow the written law?

when and where did this happen? I've never heard of such a thing, and it hasn't come up in any of my law school classes.

Is it possible to find a decent 32-37 1080p LCD for under 500-600 bucks?

you might be able to get a vizio at that price. i have the 37" model. its goes to 1080i, but seeing as i dont have an hd programming package of any kind, and am far too lazy to get an antenna to pick up a local signal, the 37" is fine for me now. its cheap, it has 2 hdmi inputs, so its all i need.

You can't claim rape if you are a prostitute.

while the decision definitely is hard to deal with, remember that armed robbery carries a much longer possible prison sentence than rape, which because she was a hooker it would have been difficult to prove anyway.

Stupidest sports injuries ever?

Chris Bootcheck, a pitcher for I believe the Angels last year or the year before pulled a hamstring while running out of the bullpen to take part in a bench-clearing brawl. that is the #1 for me.

the payments for my dad's pension didnt start, since was still working full time. his pension and 401k were 2 separate companies, both independent from eachother. the life insurance was purchased through his work. yes his 401 k money did survive him..once i proved he was dead that that nobody...

no it didn't get repealed. life insurance can't be touched in the least for creditors. I've never met anyone who had insurance money taken from them for debts of the deceased. and you are right, the 401k and pension are off limits too. it all goes by whatever you had in your bank account...

I guess it all depends on the state. My parents divorced in 1980, and I am an only child. Since the deceased was unmarried I was entitled by law to 5 years of his pension in a 1 time lump sum payment.
