@Super Spartan Why install the sandisk dashboard? I've always considered these softwares as bloat (same for samdung magician). Don't install unless absolutely necessary (like fw update).

I was just going to comment on this. Need some more long term results. Still, it's highly unlikely i'll ever buy another hynix ssd. It took them waaaaaaaaaaay too long to issue any kind of fix for this. Perhaps the driving force for this update was the cost of escalating refunds.

Took a chance and sent it back. Refund posted to original payment (inc tax) 2 days after delivery. Good riddance. No more hynix/solidgm drives for me. They had 2 years to put a fw fix out and still haven't.

I've read this (and similar) threads. For those that have this issue, I am unclear, does a trim flush the pSLC cache, or only secure erase does? If trim does then that could be a viable work around, no?

As I understand it, the problem occurs once the pSLC cache is full. Iirc its capacity is approx 320GB (https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/sk-hynix-platinum-p41-2-tb.d587). That is, after 320GB written to the drive, you should start to see slow downs. Installing OS and programs does not use...

^^Only 2 years too late :) The issue with the factory reset is you lose whatever settings you customized. Seems unplugging everything is the lessor of the two evils.

I agree with the above. I generally have a good idea what I'm doing, but sophos utm can still be challenging. Part of the challenge is it doesn't quite operate like a traditional firewall. Doug Foster explains it best in this article ...

Sophos utm has a transparent proxy function for https scanning. It does require installing utm's web certificate on client's pc's. This may be challenging on some devices such as android.

Regardless which router path you choose, you'll still need the att gateway if you intend to use att internet services. In addition to providing router/nat functions, their gateway boxes authenticate the service to your account. Those on fiber have several ways of bypassing use of the gateway...

That's a valid point but everything on here is defined on the 10.10.1.x subnet, including management. I can't imagine how windows is even discovering those ip's. What a strange issue to be having!! I got the same result when testing two 1803's in isolated vm's. Tomorrow I will try two...
