paying debt collector

I've always wondered...can you pay the company you owe money to to get rid of a debt/collection? Or do you have to pay the collection agency that is seeking payment? Anyone know how it works? Because the original company you owe money to has a "cheaper" debt to pay.

Yup pulling out is not really an option. So I guess digging out is the best way to do it?

Need to kill saplings

So I have some little tree sapling things growing around my house in the weirdest of places. They are become a nuisance and are a hassle as they are growing around the edges of the house. They get from 5-6 feet up to about 10 feet. The trunks are only about .5 inches to 3 inches in diameter...

Cell phone number recycling.

I wonder if there is a way to find out if a number has been recycled through some database? Without asking the person obviously.

WEIRD virus thing

Using Vista (yeah I know...I'm too lazy to reformat right now) So I got a virus named WNlogon.exe So far the only thing it did was to logon multiple instances of itself, eating up CPU/memory. I tried deleting it with hijack this, only to have it come back. However, when I went to go to...

brake work/ebrake question?

I have an 05 Acura TL. Supposedly what happened was that the pin that held the assembly off the rotor fell off or broke and caused the whole ebrake assembly to come in contact with the rotor.

So I had some work done on my rear brakes about a month and a half ago. They replaced pads, did some work on the rotors. Would this in any way affect the ebrake? Apparently my ebrake is totally broken right now and as of right now, they are saying that they are probably not responsible for...

Which is cheaper

Which would be cheaper. Running central heat in a house or 4 space heaters? Let's just make an estimated guess and not try to do the actual math. Opinions?
