No new applications will launch, required logout/login

Do you have any virus software running? Try to get some and run a full scan on your system with the latest dat files. If you endtask explorer and restart it what happens? Have you found anything on support.microsoft.com ?

Is my motherboard dead? Please help!

probably RMA it through Newegg... the ECS boards can tend to be flaky. The best troubleshooting method for mobo problems is try to power the unit up with just the processor, then add another component like RAM, then Video, then hard drive... etc etc until you can narrow down what might be...

Just took out my GF3 Ti 500 and put in my Radeon 8500 and all I can say is WOW!

my ass rules... dude nvidia.. why have i waited so long to get a geforce... voodoo, then antoher voodoo, then radeon.... why oh why wont i switch to geforce

RAID 0

raid 0 is a bad idea... if one drive gets flaky you lose ALL your data... as for the second post.. if you have 5 drives... might as well go for RAID 5.... 4 drives striped with a 5th for parity :D

in short: DSL if you want Decidated, although typically slower overall, Bandwidth... ideal for applications such as Gaming, websurfing, downloading, etc.. uploading, file serving will be possible, but not very desireable Cable if you dont care that your nextdoor neighbor can be running an mp3...
