Thanks for that. I think I'll be going to SCSI on this. :) As for the server motherboard specs, what are your thoughts?

Server specs help

I'm building a database server that's going to be running MS SQL 2000 server and .net application. Should I go with SATA RAID or is U320 SCSI RAID recommended? The latter is much more expensive, but is the performance worth it? Also, should I go with dual Xeon or should I go with AMD's...

Viewsonic VX900 Pixelated Text

I just bought a ViewSonic VX900 LCD monitor. The native resolutions is 1280x1024. However when I set it to that resolution, the colors on my screen don't appear solid anymore. It's similar to when you increase your CRT monitor's resolution to a really high setting and the screen just looks...

Ram issue

I have a Gateway 6400 that was bought a while back (4 months ago) that had a p3 motherboard. The motherboard spec on their website said it needed ECC Registered Cas 3 RAM. Here is the link to Gateway's information page...

<< Well, looks like you have a 80 pins hard drive... There is adapter to convert 80 => 68 pins. But will it work reliable, I don't know. Better ask the guys in Storage Review. >> Where exactly is that? I don't see such a forum in here.

Seagate Cheetah
