[?] Native USB3.0 HDD to SATA or esata

Bit late to this thread(!). Is there a replacement circuit board to "convert" these stupid WD nativeUSB3 disks to SATA (in an attempt to repair what appears to be a faulty USB circuit)? Cheers.

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

1.8V is 20% above spec. and should be OK provided your cooling is adequate. So the main question is what are your CPU and System temps. Tell us these and we'll tell you if you're OK. Also, don't be p*ssed that you can only make 2.4GHz at your stated voltage. It's still a bargain whichever...

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

I had the same "problem". It must be related to the onboard graphics. Since I added a separate card, it hasn't happened. I think the onboard 3D graphics are very poor - but I didn't buy the board for them. Running my 1.6@2.4 stable with 1.675Vcore. It gets a bit warm but I need this Vcore...

    Worried about Vcore?

Vcore "dipping" under load is normal on this board (and probably any other wihtout the 12V connector) This thread may answer why...Vcore Dipping Thread With the 4G4A you can adjust voltage to 1.85V which will give you about 1.77-1.8V under load. I suggest that this is the highest you will want...

    Vcore dips under load

Hi, I'm looking for the thread/forum which talks about why Vcore dips under load. E.g. when I run Prime95 on my 1.6A@2.4 with 1.7Vcore it dips to 1.63V. This drop seems considerable. Is it normal? Is it because my motherboad hasn't got a 12V connector? Of-course I can understand why load...

Answer: because, as you say, you are using default settings on MM. Volt 3 is Vdimm as you have guessed. Winbond 3 is System Temp and Winbond 2 Diode is CPU Temp. -- Ian

Wow. I can answer this one. It's actually your Dram voltage. Should be 2.5V I think. Have you increased it? -- Ian
