DVD drive woes

I am l having problems with my BF2 DVD. It turns out that the problem isn't the DVD, its my drive. How do I know this? I returned it and got a new DVD version and it does the same thing. Anyway, the problem is that in My Computer, it says it's a CD drive and not a DVD drive (it's a Compaq...

Is PMI RAM any good?

Yay! I found some OCZ PC-3200 for 60 dollars after rebate! It's probably the mainstream version but I won't be overclocking or anything so it doesn't matter.

Yeah, after posting this I was wondering why I'm such a scrooge. Anyone here heard of Kbyte RAM? On Outpost.com there's a good deal for 1 gb (2x512), it's 130 after rebate.

Is PMI RAM any good?

I hope this is the right section of the forum to post this in. I would like to know if PMI is a decent brand for RAM? I saw on the Anandtech RealTime Pricing and its the cheapest 512 mb PC-3200. Or should I just spend the extra 3 dollars and get the Corsair Value since I know it is a good brand.

Recommendation for motherboard?

I think the Nforce3 250 is the way to go right now. After reading a whole bunch of articles and benchmarks, the 250gb came up on top. I didn't like the lack of feature in the previous nforce motherboards. I have 4 harddrives and 2 optical drives and those boards had no place for all of it. But...

Why is everyone so nuts about the Antec SX830?
