If the iris scanner is improved and is as fast and seamless as I have it pictured in my head, then the fingerprint sensor might become secondary, and its weird position may not matter much.
Contrary to how I felt several months ago, I don't think this would affect me too much. I realize I don't use my phones headphone jack very often these days. But that's just me. I understand it's very important to some people.
Aside from that, the S8 rumors have gotten more juicy as we're less...
It's a mighty fine phone, but I realize now I'm not that excited about it because it wouldn't be an upgrade in the display for me as a Note 4 user. I think it would be nice if the Note series became 6" or so. It would better distinguish it from the S series if that's going to be available as...
Definitely thought about that, but I originally bought it for and only used it for external media storage for my phones. Never used it as camera and app storage or anything. I looked through the contents carefully, and there's nothing I'm too concerned about.
If I were you, I would backup the card and reformat it with the tablet.
At least you're not in my situation where my SanDisk card is permanently read-only and nothing (NOTHING!) can fix it. After some Googling, someone said it's a hardware switch that gets flipped when there are too many write...
Nice specs for the price. What's strange is that the main page boasts 4K + 30fps 1080p video capture, but the detailed specs say it can do 60fps 1080p. *scratches head*
3 weeks to go. New photo leak today that corroborates with the press render from almost 2 weeks ago, so this is likely to be the actual design. The edges appear to be a bit more subtle than previous edge models.
It was long rumored to have 6GB of RAM but several recent Geekbench runs have it...
You're fine. I keep most of my electronics plugged in all the time. My current laptop's been plugged in 95% of the time for 2.5 years with only 11% degradation. My phones have been fine. Don't worry about it too much. Just don't expose stuff to extreme heat.
I replaced a swelling, malfunctioning battery in my Note 4 in March. But that was completely my fault for letting it overheat and getting damaged like that. Besides that, I've never had to replace a battery. So while a removable battery would be really nice, the lack of it would not stop me from...
Wasn't that based on detecting motion? It was clunky indeed. Never used it.
It's supposed to use both your eyes and face for recognition like Windows Hello shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMdVHDqJsEs
It seems quite reliable and almost as fast as I want. One of the comments said...
Iris scanner also seems to be confirmed, as it's been rumored multiple times including in that rumor. If it works as fast and reliably as I picture it, it will be really cool. Combined with the fingerprint scanner, it would make for some really hassle-free security. But I still want that...
New rumor is that it will be only offered as an edge model. That will be very disheartening if true. The edges are not useful enough yet to be a mandatory feature.
