interesting, didn't notice this; last year the homepage for these units [ultraproducts.com] gave a complimentary warranty upgrade for three years from one-year, simply for registering. Now the three year is standard while the complimentary extends to LIFETIME.

Close friend asked me a short time back to keep an eye open for a 500 for his new rig. As I'd been using the Ultra since December with no problems, recommended he check all these sales of late. He wrote back last week: he had gotten an Antec 500 the day before..... which ceased operation...

Ultraproducts.com lists a promo for this p/s where they will pay up to $50.00 for buying it, and sending in your old Antec p/s. So the one at Fry's could be almost free?? oops--see now that this offer may not be combined with any other--so no rebate?

Today (Tuesday) is the last day of a sale at Fry's for an Ultra 500w p/s. It is 55.00 - 50.00 mir.= five bucks + the original tax. This unit is not the X-Connect, but the appearance--titanium(chrome) finish, dual led fans and specs are about the same as the X. I bought one a few days ago...

MSI M/B Accessories

Recently purchased a refurb KT4 SR from Newegg, which is working ok after a week of use. I am hoping though to find a source for the acccessories--S-bracket, d-bracket, and back-plate. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

FIC au13 setup question

When setting up this mb is there supposed to be a 4 pin, square power plug in addition to the 20 pin?? If so, is this plug standard on the newer power supplies. The manual ( page 2-6), such as it is, lists this procedure. Is there an adaptor for this plug--reg. 4-pin to square 4-pin? thanks

Price Changed $81, MSI KT3 Ultra2 $81.00 Shipped at Newegg!

Since MSI offers no warranty support to the enduser, what does Newegg offer---except, in my case, go to the manufacturer, who then advise going to the reseller-----Catch 22 ????? At least Compgeeks show clearly the length of warranty for each item.

Pricewatch shows the XP 1500, 1600, and 1700 oem's priced about the same. Why the different preferences that justify these prices??:confused:
