XP Pro needed for networking?

No. What do you mean by "network" though? File-sharing (SMB), domain logon, exchange should all work just fine. In fact, WinXP is actually pretty much NT 5, so the XP computer is actually more updated than the NT one.

asus A7V333: help, I screwed up my BIOS

I have a PCI IDE controller that has no BIOS, so I have to merge its code into the motherboard BIOS. Well, I ran cbrom and aflash, and now I get "BIOS ROM checksum error" when I try to boot up. I saved a dump of the original BIOS however, so I would like to restore it. The system allows me to...

I stand corrected, about the gaming. Go out and buy a real one. But if you want a dual head, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better for cheaper, except perhaps a used Matrox.
