Policing Career?

Well, it's 2019 and I just graduated a week ago! Officially a police officer! Been 7 years almost since I made this post, crazy. Cheers all!

4790K, are these temps normal?

Ah okay, jeez I feel dumb haha, I forgot about how I could manually change the sleep timer, etc on the power plans. Temperatures def went down during idle, and load temps are great overall from the start. It's now on balanced. Thanks guys! Cheers

4790K, are these temps normal?

It is currently set to High Performance, but don't those settings refer to how long until display turns off/computer sleeps? I will check BIOS when I get the chance.

Last I checked the BIOS I am farely certain it was set to Optimal settings under EZ Tuning, not max performance. But my Task Manager I know for a fact always sits showing 4.32Ghz while my CPU-Z & Core Temp shows 4.4Ghz. I may have to go back into the BIOS and look over everything. On the bright...

Just always had the "the cooler the better" mindset, but if heat isn't that crazy high with the 290x's then perhaps I will stick with those. Also have the option to wait it out. Sometimes I really do hate technology.. too many choices haha.

I hear the produce ALOT of heat, power consumption isn't really a big deal to me. I originally wanted to crossfire the 290x but the heat was a turnoff, and figured if I went single GTX 980 or something I could add another one down the line if needed.

I stay up late but I still manage to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep depending on the schedule. But yeah, it's probably better to focus on lifestyle changes first.
