Laptop keyboard software?

I have a Compaq M700 and the FN +F keys don't work for anything except from pg up to delete. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good program to use to reprogram the other f buttons so I can use them for say volume control etc? Thanks

Pointing Stick software?

I just recently got this m700 laptop and it dosent have the touch pad just a poining stick which I have never used before. I downloaded compaq's easy point IV and was wondering if there is a better option? Thanks
