HD causes case to hum

The HD is new and quiet if I don't attach it to the brackets. Its a silent pc if I let the HD just hang. Naturally I want to secure the HD, but there is some kind of transfer of vibraton to the case with it mounted.

HD causes case to hum

Hi, I have a Antec case and a Wd 250G sata HD. There is a loud hummming noise produced by the HD. The case has rubber mounts for the HD but still get this loud hum. Can anyone help me to reduce this or make it quiet? Thanks Gina

2 dvds 1 cd audio input

Thanks again all for your input. I moved my dvds to the IDE 1 connector and its fine. maybe something is wrong on IDE 2. I have switched cables in and out of IDE2 preveiously trying to figure out this problems so it wasn't a connection problem. I think the MSI may have a problem on IDE2...

MSI 975X POwerUp Edition Boot/Crashing Issue(s)

maybe its Vista try XP if you have it. Another thought is run mem86 to confirm ram is good.

2 dvds 1 cd audio input

I'm using the onboard sound. Kelnoen had a good idea to check the speaker setup. For now I'm only using 2 ch stereo but maybe something is set for that and its trying suround sound. I'll have to check it out later when I get home and all the trick or treaters are done.

C2D MB

I haven't tried P5B, I have the MSI and is is very stable. No reboots or hangups. The only one problem I just discovered isplaying a DVD Movie, the voices are garbled. Music is fine. Not sure if its a mb problem or somethingelse yet. Other than that the build process was smooth and steady.

MSI 975 DVD problem

Does anyone have an idea on why when I play DVD movies the voice part of the audio is garrbled. People sound like robots. I have a Sony and a LiteOn and both do the same thing. For now I am only using the Lite On to try to understand the porblem. All other audio is good. I'm using the enhanced...

Ok thanks to everyone. I thought I didn't it, but I'm having a problem with the DVD movies and thats why I thought I might need that connection. Any thought s to why on DVD movies when they talk it is garbled, they sound like robots. Music is fine and picture is good, but boy when people talk...

Hi, Can anyone tell me how to get two (2) dvd players audio output connectors into 1 cd input on the motherboard? Or is there another way to connect the DVD audio outs? I don't have either going into the CD input now but the audio is very garbled. I think its due the not having them connected...

Hi, I just bought the MSI 975 MB at Newegg. Hope it's the new version. Haven't received it yet will take a while. Anyway I will let you know what version I get and how my install went. Any thoughts to any what I might expect as far as problems go? I don't see much talk about this board on...
