I'm trying to figure out which setup is better, currently I have my 165 CCBWE 0546 running 289x9 @ 1.45V with HTT 3x and a ram divider of 266 on my A8N-SLI Deluxe bios 1016. Would I be better off running something like 306x8.5 and HTT 3x to get my HTT closer to the 1000 threshhold? My other Q is...
I have the opty driver installed on my 165 but i don't think there's much diff between the two. but if you want to uninstall the x2 you have to go into safe mode and roll the driver all the way back to processor and then install the opty driver. but if your happy no point in doing it.

Ok retried installing xp on both sata controllers gave windows the drivers, nothing. ran datalife couldn't detect my drive! i'm rmaing it, thank's for the help every body!
sorry i ment sata controllers have i have raid disabled i'll try the install again with just the raptor, i updated my bios to 1006 that didn't do anything. but i'll try reinstalling.
i got it from my raid controllers both pick it up as 0GB's, it's the weirdest thing. I going to flash the bios tonight i'll post back with results. thanks for the help!
This is the second raptor i've had problems with the first one was doa rma'd it and it runs fine in my friend system, but I put a raptor in my system and it gets recognized by both sata controllers but shows up as 0GB is there something special i have to do? I installed the Raid drivers and sata...
i would check the cmos to see what's set as first boot it sounds like it's trying to boot from the hd. Set primary to floppy, secondary to cdrom then third to hard drive. and try again.
