anyway you cant access your files from an extrnal hookup anyway cause you have a passowrd, and your windows files are protected.

Splitting off a partition to install

If you decide u dont want vista anymore, just use the same software you used to create the partition to delete it. personally, I would reinstall Xp or w/e other os you were using on a new newly formatted drive. The remaining fragments of vista, if you delete it will "clog' the MFT if u just...

Dont worry Vista RC1 is very slow, utilizes too much memory and has way too many bugs. stick with Xp until the final editions arrive

How do you forget your password...anyway you can use an XP CD and reinstall system files, which will let you keep personal documents. if you don't know how to use an XP CD, then there are ways to edit the registry to remove the password. search google for password recovery tools...

XP Start button freeze problem

Hi, Im running XP-Pro SP2 (new install yesterday) and ive never had this problem before, but sometimes maybee 1 out of 5 times i click on the start button, it freezes. The computer doesn't freeze, but the button stays "depressed" for a second extra then the start menu opens as usual. ...why...

Hi, I just transferred an older desktop into a new asus koolance case. The case has 1 water pump and control panel w/ an lcd and temp controls. i have 1 DVD+- RW combo drive. one dvd rom, and one 52x cd-rw drives. The desktop also has a cardreader and front usb and audio. the case has 4 neon...
