Antec MX-1 USB/eSATA hard drive enclosure for $29.99

tried the mx-1 about a year ago and the fan was quite noisy...i think i later read on some forum that they changed the fans at some point in these and the newer units were noisier ymmv, but i ended up returning the mx-1 and getting an apricorn ez bus...

I tried this enclosure out last week and the fan was very, very noisy. After doing some more research, it seems that some folks get quiet ones and some get "chainsaws". There is some speculation that Antec has changed the fans with the more recent units. I sent mine back and got an Apricorn...

forgive me...i am a newbie in terms of domains/hosting, etc. i am sure now that this is my error. i just went back to my namecheap account and indeed the DNS info field was blank! i thought i had covered my bases, but no...so i just filled in the nameserver info that cookiehost had sent me...

hey there i registered my domain with namecheap cookiehost gave me a temp url address (which they recommend using during the 24-72 hr period) that does work for my site, so i figure that everything is okay in terms of uploading files, etc. it's just hat this has not switched over to my real...

me too i signed up a week ago and i have been wondering why my site has not propagated yet...(they say 24-72 hours in the conf. e-mail) now i am thinking maybe this is the reason...

it has been a while since i played with this, but you have to go into the "configure" tab and check off sensors and temps, etc if you go into your program files and open the speedfan folder you can click on the help file which gives a good explanation

thanks for the replies the HSF seems to be mounted fine, and as i said my core temps and system stability are fine other than that one random mini dump... well i made a huge mistake and decided to try an updated bios for this board, but instead of downloading the file and doing it...

p5b-e bios problem

update for some poor soul who finds this post after having the same problem... well i downloaded and tried every single bios version for the p5b-e. all of them were rejected by ezflash utility as being too old except for v1601 and v1501. i settled on 1501 but still could not get the computer...

p5b-e bios problem

hi i have been experiencing some strange temp readings and decided to try to flash to the latest bios...i had been on v1202 and i updated to 1601 my comp will not boot on 1601...i can enter the bios and change settings but after exiting bios i only get stuck on a black screen like a good boy...

sudden cpu temp spikes

bump with new info well it spiked again after i put the cpu fan back on the mobo so it doesn't seem to be related to the fan controller... this time the temp went up only to 68C instead of 85C also this time i noticed that every now and then (randomly) the cpu temp goes from 68C to -1C...

this is the thread for you http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2057083&enterthread=y it is currently on page 3 or 4 of this forum it answers also the above questions...it seems that higher/lower fsb vs higher/lower multiplier has an effect in terms of benchmarks but not in "real-world"...

hi thanks for the replies...when this phenomenon happens, i have compared readings with SpeedFan, CoreTemp, PCProbe, AISuite...all report that my core1 and core2 temps remain stable and low...Coretemp does not give "cpu" temp like the others, just core temps... it happened again last night...

hi i am having some issues with my reported cpu temps on my system as listed below in my sig... first of all, i monitor my cpu, core1, core2, and hd temps with SpeeFan. i also use my onboard AI Suite and PC Probe (ASUS) which give me the same readings as SpeedFan for my temps and voltages...

Ultra brand.. What do we think of it? (Poll)

i purchased an ultra xvs 600w psu a couple of months ago with a rebate as well...i even got the rebate pretty quickly. just in the past week it has developed a high pitched whine that is driving me crazy! in fact just now i was doing some searching looking for posts about the possible cause...
