It was working for me. I didn't have to install that (although I may have already had it installed but I doubt it). However, it kept being unresponsive so I had to reload the page a lot.
Since the 4870 and 4890 are practically the same PCB hole-wise (afaik), I'll throw in my vote for the T-Rad2. It's incredibly effective and fairly slim when you look at others like the Accelero TT and the HR-03GT. I slapped two 120mm Scythe fans on there with a little help from a ghetto fan...
one of my 250GB seagates died on me once. the RMA process was quick and easy though - it was all automated afaik. i would RMA them just to be sure. whatever you do though, don't buy hardware from best buy. you can get a 7200RPM 1TB drive online for maybe $80-85.

Obviously, this doesn't include the free versions of Vista Ultimate (x86 and x64) I got from a TechNet thing a while back, does it? They were just OEM discs.
SATA definitely. Better specs overall because it's a new technology. Also, you don't have to fiddle around with Master/Slave settings. It senses them automatically. Finally, SATA data cables are a lot thinner than IDE cables, which is a big plus for airflow and cooling.
